GAS-2JZ New National Record 1403.5 HP

Gas Motorsport debut the Hurricane on Saturday at 2008 Scott Kalitta International Top Fuel Challenge.On its first full quarter mile pass Malcom piloted the car to an astonishing 6.9 @ 207mph. It was the fastest qualifier by nearly half a second.

Pro-FX made it's Class 1 debut at the Tin Tops over the weekend. Over a three run Battle, Gas Motorsport were victorious over the TRD sponsored Wedlock with a strong 7.000 on a soggy track. Both drivers claimed the event to be a huge success and were more then happy with crowd response.

Here is a little more detail regarding the class:
The class has been named Pro FX, or Pro Factory Xtreme, and is only open to cars younger than 2003 models and with engines less than or equal to 4.0-litres in capacity.

Pro FX class rules state that the engine within the vehicle has to mirror the brand of the car, “so a Toyota-engined Toyota; a Nissan-powered Nissan and so on”, and there are no limits concerning onboard electronic systems such as traction control.
