At the 2007 Final Battle of Autosalon Gas put in a strong show with a host of cars and display stand on show. Our R34 GTR was on Display along side out R32 GTR where both cars were well received by patrons. The Celica was also on display and won Best Engineered Chassis for the event.
GAS-2JZ did battle on the Dyno once again but missed out on the new addition of the power challenge by 1/2HP. During the final run of the car the team noticed that the rear tyres we not gripping on the roller so tyres were changed and an exhibition run was organised. During this exhibition GAS-2JZ was on song and ran three runs over 1100HP with the final being a record shattering 1235.9RWHP.

Minijam:
After the unfortunate coming together with the wall and the Celica at the Summernationals the team sprung into action. Unperturbed by the incident, our Camrydore was picked up from storage and work begun so that we could make this event. Many sleepless nights were put in from the crew and Minijam saw a rejuvenated Betty (The Camrydores Nickname).
With a fresh coat of paint and sporting the 3.2L from the Celica, the team were hoping to be competitive on the day with not having experience with this configuration. It was clear from the start that Joe was taking no time adjusting to this by posting the fastest qualifier once again. Again the only car to be in the 6 second bracket the Team once again took out the event.
Jamboree 17:
With the debut of our new Gas Celica we took out honors at this Sports Compact event. With a 6 second pass off the trailer we qualified first. With a string of 6 second passes throughout the event (and the only team to run in the 6's) the Gas Team put in a mammoth effort to turn the car around after each pass due to an earlier sump problem. While reversing the car off it's stands the sump hit a ramp due to a deflated tyre. After each pass the sump needed to be pulled off and a fresh bead of silicone applied.
All this effort was rewarded with a win in the final which helped us to become the 2006/2007 Sport Compact Champions.
